Sweet Plums Natural Pageant

Sweet Plums Natural Pageant is recognized for allowing the contestant to be oneself with minimal help from beauty enhancements (such as make-up, hair pieces, tanning, etc). Sweet Plums Natural allows for an innocent appearance which is considered age appropriate. The look is natural beauty (All American girl). Sweet Plums meets the needs of all girls.

Formal “Beauty” Appearance: 30 points – No props are allowed during the formal appearance. Formal Appearance category is also known as “beauty.” Music provided. Appearance is scored on a scale of 1-10 in three separate areas Beauty, Personality/Stage Presence & Overall Appearance (see criteria defined for specific meaning). Time Limit: 1 minute

  • NATURAL: Contestants will do a simple, effortless walk down the runway to exhibit beauty, personality/stage presence and overall appearance. The dress can be custom or off-the-rack. The dress is up to contestant’s choosing (minimal embellishments; glitz not allowed). Examples of formal attire include flower girl dresses, Sunday best attire (Easter), Pageant dress, or cupcake dresses (with minimal stones). The dress can be cocktail or long. Make-up is not required for natural contestants. If contestants decide to wear make-up, it should be minimal (light eye make-up, lip gloss, sheer blush, mineral powder). No make-up on baby division. Jewelry should be simple (no extravagant glitz). Jewelry could be pendant necklaces, stud/low hang earrings, pearls)
 
Red, White, & Blue (RWB) Attire – 30 points – This is a free style modeling category which allows the greatest opportunity for creativity. Contestants should wear an outfit or costume that includes Red, white, & blue. Outfits may be custom or off the rack (and can include feathers, lace, tulle, or any fabric of choosing as long as it includes Red, white, & blue). Red, White, & Blue attire could include a decorated outfit, embroidered work, or costume. Red, White, & Blue attire is whatever you make it. *Pro-Am Modeling is not required but allowed. (Pro Am modeling is a showy style of modeling resembling a dance routine, using up tempo music and fast paced walk with turns, moves, and gestures. This event allows kicks, splits, jumps, and removal of part of clothing). You may use custom music for this event (*music must be turned in by labeled and turned in at registration). Props are allowed but not required. Red, white, & blue attire is scored on a scale of 1-10 in three separate areas will be based on creativity of Red, white, & blue s, personality/stage presence and overall appeal (see criteria defined for specific meaning). Your own music is allowed for this category (submit at registration). Time Limit: 1 ½ minutes 

Photogenic – “Miss/Mr Photogenic Supreme”

The contestant is judged by photograph only (enter at Registration). Three awards will be given to highest scorers. Up to four additional photographs may be submitted (for an additional fee). The contestant will submit a professional headshot or body shot. The photograph should be labeled with the contestant’s name, age division. The photograph may be in black and white or color. Judging will be based on facial beauty, expression, overall appeal, and quality of actual photograph. Photo size must be 8”x10”. Photographs can be professional or amateur. No certain presentation style is required (can be in envelope, binder, or alone). Photographs are due at Pageant Registration table and will be available for pick-up at the end of the pageant at the Registration table.

Sweet Individual Awards

Optional Awards: Contestants may register for Best Formal Wear, Best RWB Wear,, Best Personality Formal, Best Personality (RWB), Most Beautiful, Most Handsome, Best Model (Formal), Best Model (RWB). All are judged during formal wear (except Best RWB Wear, Best Personality (RWB), and Best Model (RWB. Three awards will be given to overall contestants. Winners will receive a medal. These categories are an extra fee.

 

All Contestants are deemed winners and will receive a medal and certificate.

 

To Register:

Request an application by emailing director@itsyourpageant.com. Complete the application and send PayPal of $25 to director@itsyourpageant.com to hold your spot by 6/7/15. After 6/7/15, add $25 late fee. Payments may be mailed: Paramount Pageants, PO Box 121631, Arlington, TX 76012. Once payment received, you will receive confirmation. You can make payments on your balance or pay in full on the day of the pageant.
