Precious Jewels Pageant

Precious Jewels Pageant (ages 0-30) allows girls, diagnosed with a special need or challenge, to be themselves in a fashion forward environment! Precious Jewels Pageant allows girls with special need to compete in a beauty pageant while giving them continuing opportunities to develop strength, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other contestants and the community. Contestants are allowed to wear make-up. This is a natural pageant; not glitz. The pageant will meet the needs of all girls by providing a safe, nurturing, yet fun environment. Every contestant is crowned a queen.

Precious Jewels seeks to ensure every girl feels special with the same quality of a beauty pageant that any other girl would compete in only we cater to those girls/women with special needs.

Age Divisions

​Age Divisions: Age is determined by the contestant's age on the day of the pageant. Birth certificates are not required (but may be requested by Pageant personnel). Age divisions may be divided dependent on the number of contestants.

0 mos - 3 yrs – Baby Miss
4 yrs – 7 yrs – Mini Miss
8 yrs - 12 yrs – Dainty Miss
13 yrs - 17 yrs – Teen Miss
18 yrs - 30 yrs – Sweet Miss

 

Pageant Categories

Formal “Beauty” Appearance: 30 points – Mandatory Stage Event. Formal Appearance category is also known as “beauty.” Music provided. No props are allowed during the formal appearance. Formal Appearance is scored in three separate areas Beauty (1-10 points) & Overall Appearance (1-20 points). Time Limit: 1 minute

       -  Contestants will go on the stage to exhibit beauty, personality/stage presence and overall appearance. The dress can be custom or off-the-rack. The dress is up to contestant’s choosing (minimal embellishments; glitz not allowed). Examples of formal attire include Sunday best, flower girl dresses, pageant dresses, or cupcake dresses. The dress can be cocktail or long. Strapless dresses are not allowed. Make-up is not required for natural contestants. If contestants decide to wear make-up, it should be minimal (light eye make-up, lip gloss, sheer blush, mineral powder). Jewelry should be simple (no extravagant glitz). Jewelry could be pendant necklaces, stud/low hang earrings, pearls).

Theme Wear: Western Theme. 30 points – Mandatory Stage Event. Contestants should choose an outfit that best represents the Western or Country Theme. Props allowed. Music provided. Appearance is scored on a scale of 1-10 in three separate areas Creativity & Overall Appearance. Time Limit: 1 minute.

Photogenic – “Miss Photo Supreme”
Optional Event. The contestant is judged by photograph only (enter at Registration). Two awards will be given to highest scorer (based on 1-10 score) based on facial beauty and personality in picture. Up to four additional photographs may be submitted (for an additional fee). The contestant will submit a professional headshot or body shot. The photograph should be labeled with the contestant’s name, age division. The contestant can only enter one photograph. The photograph may be in black and white or color. Judging will be based on facial beauty, expression, overall appeal, and quality of actual photograph. Photo sizes should be 4”x6” or larger. Photographs are due at Pageant Registration and will be returned. This event is not considered toward your supreme scores.

 

All Contestants are deemed a winner and will receive a tiara.

 

To Register:

Request an application by emailing director@itsyourpageant.com. Complete the application and send deposit via PayPal of $25 to director@itsyourpageant.com to hold your spot by 9/10/15. After 9/10/15, add $25 late fee. Payments may be mailed: Paramount Pageants, PO Box 121631, Arlington, TX 76012. Once payment received, you will receive confirmation. You can make payments on your balance or pay in full on the day of the pageant.
